This document presents French national policies and tools used for existing buildings and urban open spaces energy performance assessment. First part presents French policies; second part presents methods and tools used to frame energy consumption of buildings and open spaces. All these dispositions are the national implementation of European Directives EPBD 2002 and EPBD 2010 [1].
